Our beautiful, top-quality sweatshirts and hoodies are printed individually with care in NZ by doodlewear (https://www.doodlewear.co.nz/), an New Zealand artists' collaboration.
Each garment is printed individually to order with care in New Zealand on high-quality products from trusted NZ brand 'AS Colour' garments they manufacture internationally.

What is the quality like of your garments?

Our garments are from the quality brand AS Colour and are soft and high quality. Because the ink sticks to the garment's fabric underneath, the art print design feels much softer than a traditional screenprint.

Our bolder, brighter Innobella Textile Inks are water-based pigment inks have exceptional washability if cared for correctly. The result is a great looking garment that looks brighter, longer with proven washability as evidences by AATCC wash tests, where our inks score 4.0 or higher on every test. 

What sustainable/environmental systems does doodlewear currently have in place?

The ink our printers use are water-based pigment inks that are Okeo-Tex Eco-Pass certified and CPSIA compliant. They also recycle them with Brother NZs ink recycling program.

In printing-to-order, we only produce what is required, and avoid having leftover/unwanted stock that often goes to waste.

We ship our products in commercially compostable courier satchels.

Where are your t-shirts and crews from and are they ethically produced?

Our garments are from trusted New Zealand brand AS Colour and they produce their garments internationally. According to their website they have an experienced ethical sourcing specialist and do source responsibly, with an A-grade in the 2019 Ethical Fashion Report. AS Colour believes in transparency, and that “good workplace standards, decent health and safety requirements, fair pay and conditions, and care for the environment are important elements in business success.” You can find more about their production here. They have a high level of traceability of their suppliers which you can read about here.

What is produced in New Zealand?

The artwork from our artists are produced in New Zealand and our quality printing is done in Papamoa, New Zealand. All of our artists are based in New Zealand.

PRICING & PAYMENTS
All product prices are given in New Zealand Dollars ($NZD) and are shown inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST), however, are exclusive of delivery costs. The price you pay is fixed at the time of ordering.
We print your items with love individually on order. By measuring yourself and following our easy clothing size charts, you will get the perfect fit. As you will know, different brands have different size charts, so it's essential to double-check them whenever you shop online.

Change of mind returns/exchange policy
We understand that selecting the right sizing and fit for your body shape can sometimes be difficult when purchasing online. We want you to be 100% happy with your doodlewear.

If you change your mind within 48 hours of receiving your order, we can provide you with one of the following options:

Store credit - store credit to the value of the item at the time of purchase, exclusive of any shipping costs.

Exchange - exchange to the value of the item at the time of purchase, exclusive of any shipping costs.

Refund - refund to the value of the item at the time of purchase, exclusive of any shipping costs

We'll send you information so you can plan your return for exchange.

On receipt, all returned items will be examined.
To be eligible for a store credit, exchange or refund, items must be returned in their original condition (new, unused, unworn, unaltered, unwashed). All garment tags must be still attached to the item.
Return shipping fees to doodlewear are the responsibility of the customer. Customers are also liable for the cost of returning the new exchanged item from doodlewear.
How to exchange, get a store credit or refund for a 'change of mind' item
For all exchanges, store credit and refund requests, contact us at info@doodlewear.co.nz or phone +64 27 811 8958 within 48 hours of receiving your order, providing us with your order number and brief reason. We will provide you with an address to send the parcel back to.

All items need to be returned* within 7 days from date of your parcel delivery, including the receipt or proof of purchase. 
Once the item has been received they will undergo a quality review. 
Once cleared, we will exchange the item if a replacement is in stock and available. If we do not have a replacement available, we will offer you either a doodlewear credit or a refund to the value of the item at the time of purchase and any shipping costs incurred. We will contact you to confirm this.
We will send you an invoice for our standard shipping cost for your new item to be sent to you. Upon receiving the payment we will process your exchange order.
A refund may be denied on rare occasions. If there are signs that the item has been worn or damaged or outside of the returns time frame, we reserve the right to refuse the exchange/return and the return shipping costs will be at the expense of the customer.
Return and refund policy on online gift vouchers
doodlewear online gift vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash in part or full, so please choose carefully when purchasing a voucher.
Refund policy of faulty items
We stand by the products we make, and we believe in quality. If our products have failed you in any way, please contact us and we will endeavour to help you.

Refund returns of faulty items will only be accepted if the goods were faulty when delivered to you; doodlewear takes special care to check your purchase thoroughly for any faults before delivering them to you.

All items returned as faulty will be inspected on receipt and any items deemed subject to general wear and tear will be not accepted as faulty.

Once cleared, we will replace a faulty item if a replacement is in stock and available. If we do not have a replacement available, we will offer you either a doodlewear credit or a refund to the value of the item at the time of purchase and any shipping costs incurred. We will contact you to confirm this.
Should you not want a replacement, you may request a full refund to the value of the item at the time of purchase and any shipping costs incurred.
If there are signs that the item has been worn or damaged, we reserve the right to refuse the return and the return shipping costs will be at the expense of the customer.
 Late or missing refunds from doodlewear
If you haven't received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you've done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at info@doodlewear.co.nz with the subject 'REFUND MISSING' or phone +64 27 811 8958. 

* Shipping products back to doodlewear
If you are shipping an item back to us, make sure the parcel is secure (we suggest an insured shipping or posting method, as well as lots of tape) as you are responsible for it until it reaches us. doodlewear does not accept responsibility for packages we do not ship ourselves.


Shipping:
Doodlewear only prints a garment once an order has been received. They also dropship printed items to the customer. Since doodlewear sends the items to you, Betty will separately mail an information brochure about the endangered animal.

NEW ZEALAND SHIPPING
CourierPost tracked courier delivery (weekdays only). Please provide a physical street address – we’re not able to deliver to a P.O. Box. You may be required to sign for your order on delivery too, so make sure it's an address you will be at during working hours.

New Zealand orders take approximately 5-7 working days plus Courier. On dispatch, you will be notified via email with a tracking number. 
Expect to receive your package 1-3 working days from dispatch.* For Rural Delivery please allow 2-3 working days.*
*Major towns and cities. These delivery targets are a guide only and we do not guarantee your item will reach its destination within the delivery target. Delivery to rural or remote areas may take longer. Once your order is shipped, it is out of our hands.

Australia wide shipping time:
Australia orders take approximately 5-7 working days plus Shipping. On dispatch, you will be notified via email with a tracking number. 

Please allow 3-10 working days for shipping. This does not include the amount of time for customs. TAXES & DUTIES
All international deliveries are handled by NZ Post. Any duties and taxes incurred on international deliveries are your responsibility.

Please be aware that doodlewear does not have any control over duties, customs and taxes applied by the country your order is being shipped to. Please contact your local customs office to find out more information if you are unsure of the charges.

GARMENT INFORMATION & CARE
Any slight shading or marks will wash out in the first wash. We recommend washing your garment before wearing.

Our garments have a good wash/UV durability if cared for correctly: 
Do not dry clean.
Cold wash only.
Gentle cycle.
Turn printed product inside out before washing, and dry inside out.
Do not use bleach or organic solvents.
Dry under shade. 
Do not tumble dry.
Do not iron directly on printed surfaces. Do not use a steamer or steam wand on it.
Do not rub printed surfaces. 

SIZE and STYLE GUIDE
By measuring yourself and following our easy clothing size charts, you will get the perfect fit. Below you can learn about the different AS Colour t-shirts and sweatshirts doodlewear have available and choose the one that's right for you.

How to measure your size
Body Width: is measured flat from seam to seam, usually under the armpit. Body Length: is measured from the shoulder to the hem. Tolerance: measurements can vary within +/- 2.5cm, this is within manufacturer's tolerance.

In keeping with our 'New Zealand made' and 'environmentally-friendly' ethos, we have chosen to have our t-shirts printed in New Zealand, by New Zealand owned and operated, Digitees (https://www.digitees.co.nz/). 

We chose Digitees to print our 100% cotton clothes for the following reasons:

1. The babies and children's t-shirts, as well as the adult hoodies and sweatshirts, are 100% pure cotton, so are healthy and comfortable to wear.  The adult t-shirts are 100% organic cotton. As much as possible, we do not wish to contribute to pollution caused by the manufacture of polyester, rayon or viscose. We have chosen to use natural fibres that can biodegrade without damaging the environment.

2. The images on the t-shirt are high quality digital 'direct to garment' prints (not transfers) that show a high level of detail and are printed with photographic quality. The Innobella Textile Inks are water-based pigment inks that are Okeo-Tex Eco-Pass certified and CPSIA compliant and adhere to the fabric of the garment underneath which means the print feels much softer than a traditional screenprint. The have exceptional washability if cared for correctly. The result is a great looking garment that looks brighter for longer.

3. Print-on-demand and drop-shipping: Digitees only prints a t-shirt when a design is ordered by you, the customer. This keeps costs lower, as we do not keep an inventory. Sharing our conviction about using only environmentally-friendly packaging, Digitees packs and mails the t-shirts to you in compostable mailers. Since Digitees sends the t-shirt to you, Betty will separately mail an information brochure about the endangered animal.

4. Printing takes five working days from confirmed payment, plus 1-2 days shipping (2-3 day for rural areas); so will you will receive your t-shirt very quickly.  We also ship our t-shirts overseas. Please allow 3 – 10 working days worldwide. This does not include the amount of time for customs. We have no control over any customs or import duties that could be levied when the package reaches your destination country. You will be liable for these charges. Please note postage prices cover most purchases. But for extra large items or purchases we reserve the right to charge extra as applicable.

CARE FOR YOUR T-SHIRT

For best results:

Please wash before wearing. Any slight shading or spots around the print will wash out in the first wash.

Turn inside out and cold wash. Do not tumble dry. Do not iron the print. 

We love to see photos of our customers wearing their new t-shirt. Please feel free to email your photo to us: queries@bumble-beesartandcrafts.com. Please indicate whether if you are happy for us to post your photo on social media and/or in our newsletter. 

Whether working in watercolour or coloured pencil, Betty only uses lightfast pigments for original artworks.

Lightfastness is how resistant the medium is to fading it is when exposed to light.

Betty only paints on acid-free, archival, 100% cotton rag watercolour paper, acid-free, archival, cellulose Clairefontaine PastelMat or archival watercolour canvases.

To best preserve your artwork, frame it as soon as possible and hang it away from direct or fluorescent light, as these can affect both the paper and pigments. U.V. glass is recommended when framing original watercolours.

Do not hang in high humidity areas.

Shipping Times and Costs:

Merchandise is dispatched between 1 to 3 working days on most products. You will receive an email should there be a delay. 

We are constantly evaluating the market to determine the best shipping methods and costs, so changes to shipping charges may occur. 

Shipping options within NZ:

1. Tracked postage, which takes approximately 3 working days. 

2. CourierPost delivery can be a little faster than tracked postage. It is a little more expensive, especially for rural delivery.

3. CourierPost, with Signature, is the most secure method of delivery, and is recommended for high-value orders or original artworks.

International shipping options:

For most countries, Standard International Air, International Courier and International Express Courier are available, depending on how quickly you wish to receive your merchandise. For original painting purchases or merchandise of high-value, we recommend International Courier or International Express Courier services. We have no control over any customs or import duties that could be levied when the package reaches your destination country. You will be liable for these charges. Please note our shipping charges cover most purchases. For extra large items or purchases we reserve the right to charge extra as applicable.

International air shipping is not tracked and is recommended for merchandise under $50.00. 

Not all shipping options are available for all countries. Available options are listed when you enter your details in the cart section.

We do not have to provide a refund if you have changed your mind about a particular purchase, so please choose carefully. If the goods are faulty, we will meet our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act to provide a remedy.

Although we have selected the most robust packaging options, in the rare event that an item arrives damaged, please contact us here with information and photos of the damaged item/s. In most cases we can replace the item for you; however, if we cannot, we will offer an alternative replacement.
